Happy Thanksgiving!

I just wanted to stop in and wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! I hope yours is filled with family, laughter, more food than you know what to do with, and the best of all, remembering God's blessings on you and your family!

We have a lot to be thankful for, even with the troubles of the world right now. Just take a minute and praise God and thank him for everything that he had done for you!

I am Thankful for:

1. my Jesus
2. my husband
3. my beautiful boys and the girl we will welcome in a few weeks
4. my wonderful parents
5. having a big family that still gets together for holidays
6. a Pastor and church family that I love
7. our health
8. Granny's dressing! ( had to add that one in. There is NOTHING like it!)

The past few days

I went to the doctor on Thursday to have my round of test and stuff. Everything looks good! I asked the tech that did the ultrasound was it still a girl? And she said yes and printed out a picture to prove so! I just have such a hard time believing that it is a girl! Is that stupid of me or what? I also asked how big she was, and she measured and she is a little over 5 lbs. Which from what I've read is right on target. Hopefully she won't be as big as her brothers!

I was trying to scan the pictures from the ultrasound, but I believe my printer has officially died on me!

We've had a pretty lazy weekend. It has been too cold to do much of anything. Me and the boys have been staying at home and doing a whole lot of nothing! I did cook spaghetti last night and have some ribs thawing out for tonight. Should be good!

Don't forget about my give away going on here!

Another Noah-ism

Today Andrew asked me who I loved. I said my boys. Noah heard me say that and said "I'm a boy mom. I'm not a girl because they wear dresses and high tops." I had to laugh! He was talking about high heels! Kids are so cute!

Jonah's 18 month Check-up

I took Jonah to the doctor today. He is great except for a little fluid behind his left ear. The doctor gave me a prescription for it. I guess that explains his runny nose for weeks now. Makes me feel like a bad mother. But other that being a little whiny, which I thought was form his eye teeth coming through, he has been fine.

The doctor commented on how tall he is, and how big his feet are. He then asked me how tall I was. I said 5' 3". Then he asked how tall is Dad, and I said like 6' 8" I believe. He said that explains it!

Both boys got flu shots today. Then we went to get the prescription and I let the boys pick out a little bag of chips because they were good at the doctor. The prescription was free at Publix! They have some antibiotics that are free. Great place to check out first if you need any!

Long trip to the Dr.

I went to the doctor yesterday. Since last Tuesday I have been giving myself shots of insulin at night before I go to bed. Hopefully to decrease my fasting readings in the morning. Most of the other readings have been ok. She started me out taking 5 units, which didn't look like much. The reading have been a little high, so yesterday she told me to start taking 10 units. Well, last night I fell asleep and didn't do a shot at all. But this morning the reading wasn't bad, about the same as it has been since I started the insulin.

I had an ultrasound to get points, not sure what that means, but she was moving and already practicing breathing, so it didn't even take 2 minutes before she got all the points they were looking for. Then I had a NST, which I now know means a Non stress test. My mom said it was to measure her heart rate when she moved. Everything was fine with all the test. I have to go back in 2 weeks to do it all again. It took about 3 hours total, thank goodness my mom was able to go and help keep me company. Andrew had to work and my wonderful Dad kept the boys. Bless his heart! He said they had fun and it looked like it when we got back. My Dad and Noah drew a "town map" on a big piece of cardboard and they couldn't wait to show it to us.

Better late than never...

I have been offline for a while. We keep having problems with our DSL. It is kind of aggravating but while it was off, I did get a lot done!

Here are some pictures of the boys on Halloween. Noah was the Red Power Ranger (even though I never let him watch the show!) and Jonah was a farmer. Notice how much he looks like Daddy with the 5 o'clock shadow!
