Another week...

Not much has been happening around here, other than day to day cleaning, washing clothes, and general mom duties. I am happy to report that Noah is on day 3 of staying in his bed. He has been getting visits from the "sleep fairy" when he stays in his bed. It is working...so far. He has been promised an outing to a movie from Daddy on Monday as long as the steak continues. And he won't let me forget that I told him he could pick out a race track after a week, so I may have to plan a trip for the 2 of us to go out and find him one!

Speaking of Daddy, I just have to say how grateful I am for him. Andrew works really hard for me to be able to stay home with the boys and I really appreciate that! Sometimes he has what seems to be a short nap before going from one job to the other, and I have to pray that he is careful and that God watches over him! He is our provider and I am so happy to have him to call my husband.

I hope that everyone has a great weekend!

A new family member!

We have a new baby in the family! His name is Joseph Adam Hardy Black and he is beautiful! Welcome to the world little one! He was born on Tuesday and he and his mom, my cousin Julie, are doing well.

Our Friday night...and some pictures

I am putting a few new pictures of the boys on here. I noticed it has been a while...

Well, it is finally COLD around here. We have been wanting winter and I think it has made it's presence known! I made chili for dinner. I think I'll eat some on a hot dog since I'm going to have to make one for Noah anyway. He does not like beef! And I don't feel like a fight tonight! Anyway, we got up early, mainly because Noah went to sleep around 7:00 last night. It was nice. I had both boys in bed by 9:00. Then me and my stupid self stayed up til 2:00am reading blogs. Oh well. I never have the time to do that! Jonah is already asleep, I doubt for the night, but who knows! I think he may be going through a growth spurt. He wants to eat cereal ALL the time and seems to be sleeping a lot. I did get the boys bathroom clean, and I mean CLEAN, while he napped this afternoon. I still need to mop but he woke up before I could get that done! I will do that after I eat. Andrew is out working tonight. Sometimes I feel like a single mother! But he is off Sunday from both jobs so we will actually have some family time after church. I think we have one church this Sunday too. I don't know if he'll want to go or not. It is about 45 minutes away. We will see. I am going to eat so I can get Noah in the tub and maybe to bed by 8:30. Then maybe I can catch up on the about 10 magazines and last Sunday's newspaper before Andrew gets home! Have a great weekend!

Our Wednesday

Well it is another late night for me! I am truly a night owl. But with kids I have to be an early riser too, so I am getting better. I was so lazy today. I stayed in bed(not sleeping the whole time) until about 12 noon! Andrew was off today and it was cold so we just decided to stay home and do NOTHING! We took Noah to "Pizza Planet" (from Toy Story), which is Stevie B's to everyone else, before church. He loves that place! We like it pretty well too and it is cheap for us to eat there as a family. Church was great tonight. I think a lot of people didn't come because we had a hint of snow and some sleet. Our pastor talked about how the church is made up pennies and dimes, not Platinum credit cards. He was talking about the people that are in the church. It really opened my eyes about outreach. I have been really lacking in that area! Not that it's an excuse but I do have the 2 boys, sometimes it is hard for me to get involved in things at church. I do want to find something to be used for and not just be a cheek in the seat! I will pray about it and see where God leads me! I am going to bed now as the washer is finished and I can put Andrew's work clothes in the dryer! Good Night!

What a car!

Red 65 Mustang Pedal Car
I know that Noah would love this car! It is a lot like his "friend" Clyde's car. (Clyde is actually Daddy's friend, but all kids love him!) So I am posting about another contest! You can win one from the girls at 5 Minutes for Mom!
Also check out their store for more toys and collectibles like this!

I know, I know...

It has been another week, so maybe I'm not so good at this blogging thing! I have been trying to stay away from the computer during the day and do more with my boys! I took Noah to a gym class on Friday. He was so excited. It was nice because it was raining here and we hadn't been able to get out of the house for a couple of days. The class is great. It has stretching, exercising, and running. They do the parachute and then play with balls. We tried to get my nephew to go with us but his mom always has him so busy. Well, we tried. My mom went with us and then we went to Logan's for lunch. Their mesquite chicken salad is great. And the rolls...I could eat a dozen! Well, Jonah is awake now and I've got some errands to run. I really will try to not let it be so long before I post again! Have a great week!

Oh my, another week already?

I have been busy! I hope that everyone had a wonderful New Years! We spent ours with family which is the way I like it. To me nothing is more important than having a family that you enjoy each other's company and can share life with! Well, Tuesday was my birthday. I turned the big 30 this year and I admit I was not too happy with it! Not to say I'm sure my Mom loves the idea of having a 30 year old daughter! We ate our usually meal of collards and black eyed peas at my moms house. Boy, that is some good food! Thanks MOM! My husband wanted to take me to a movie. I, of course wanted to be with my babies, but I had resolved to try to spend more one on one time with Andrew this year, and my mom agreed to keep the boys, so we went. We saw the National Treasure sequel. It was pretty good. Well Andrew had to go to the bathroom, and when he went he said our friends from church Clyde and Charlotte had called and said some of the couples from church were getting together to play games at the church. And that he had already called my mom and made sure it was okay. And she said it was. So we pulled up to the church to go in and I had no idea but my sweet sweet husband had planned a SURPRISE party for me. I was in shock to open the door and find all my family there, our friends Troy and Rhonda and their boys, Clyde and Charlotte, Ben, Emily and their little girl Gwen (who Noah is going to marry!) and some other people that we go to church with. I had no idea, I still can't believe my mom kept it a secret! I cried of course. I guess he does love me, although some times I have to ask why! I can be a pill! Thank you so much Andrew and I love you too! Just remember payback is...well you know!
On to the children I kept for 3 days last week. I thought it would be really hard, but I prayed each day before they got here and I didn't have any problems. It actually went pretty smooth. The little girl was so small! Both of my boys were over 9 lbs. so I never really had a little newborn. I was almost scared that I would break her! I know, not really but that is how small she is! I'll just say by the end of the first day I had fallen in love with them both. Their father is Vietnamese so they were so pretty. The second day the mom told me that she was going to try something else this week because I live too far away. She has to come off the base, come to my house and then go back on the base, I mean Fort Gordon. She said it takes half an hour of driving time. I was a little bit heartbroken but as I said form the beginning God is in it so I know there is reason. Friday was a little bit harder but nothing I couldn't handle. Noah was such a good helper to me! I was very impressed by him and the way he handled himself. He was sharing and being very patient with Min. I guess he is growing up some! I hate to even think that he will be starting school this year! I want to cry right now! The mom said that she wished I lived closer because Min has never adapted so well and so fast to a new "daycare." Well, we will see what God has in store! I will end this for now as it is pretty long and I need to go to bed. It's 12:28! Good Night and hopefully it won't be so long in between post next time!
