My babies!

Where does time go? I can't believe that Abbie will be 3 weeks old tomorrow! When I took her to the doctor last week she weighed 9 lbs 9 oz! I took Jonah with me because he's had a cold since Abbie was born. He ended up having ANOTHER ear infection! My poor baby is back on antibiotics again!

I have to get a new camera soon! It is driving me crazy to not have one of my own to take pictures of the kids! Here a few that I took with my mother in laws camera...

A lot to tell...

Well, I can't believe Abbie is 2 weeks old already! I took her to the doctor last Monday for them to check her for jaundice and to make sure our breastfeeding was going well. She weighed 9 lbs. even which the doctor said meant that she had gained 9 oz. since Thursday when we went home, so nursing is going really good! He said she was perfect and to bring her back at 2-3 weeks so we have an appointment tomorrow morning. I can't get enough of her! She is the sweetest baby!

I can't believe how much I am getting done, as far as housework goes! Maybe it is because I know I HAVE to now. If not we would be living in a tornado! I have kept up with the dishes, laundry, and just general straightening of toys (and gotten the boys involved) since I have felt well enough to do it. I don't leave a room anymore without having something that doesn't go in there to put up!

Jonah has started climbing out of the crib! I don't know what I am going to do now! I have a toddler bed but don't know if I'm ready for that battle yet! But keeping him in the crib has been a battle, so I will try to figure it out! He is finally taking a nap after being put back in for what seems like 20 times, which may be the correct number!

Noah has been sweet and helping me with Abbie. He is an attentive big brother to her. Not so to Jonah, but I guess that is to expected. They are brothers, after all! He is getting better at negotiating with Jonah though.

I am off to eat and take a quick shower. Have a good week if I don't get back!

By the way, American Idol season premiere is tonight!! I'll have the DVR ready to go!

Abigail is here!

We are home from the hospital and I finally feel good enough to write a little post about our newest addition to our family of 5! We went in for a scheduled c-section on Tuesday Dec. 30 at 6 am. After I was prepped and we did a spinal, Abigail made her debut at 7:45 am! She weighed in at 9 lbs. 6.8 oz. A lot bigger that I had thought! She is perfect and we are so glad to have added her to our family!

This time around the healing from the c-section has been a little bit harder, maybe because I'm older, not really sure! I am really trying to take it easy this time around!

I hope everyone had a nice New Year! I know we did!

I'm still here...and still pregnant!

I know it has been a long time since I posted, over a week! I am still pregnant and been here cleaning and trying to take up some special time with my boys before the baby gets here! They are still asleep right now after a long night of shopping with me and my parents. I went to the store last night to try to buy stuff for supper for at least a week, and to make extra to freeze for after the baby gets here. I think I got everything! I am planning on making burritos, hamburger soup, white chili, chicken broccoli and rice, and chicken pot pie. All of this should freeze well and hopefully help out the wallet after baby gets here!

After my doctor visit last week, my doctor upped my insulin again for both doses. She thinks it is still too high in the morning. So now to me, for the last week, it has been really low. I have been VERY careful about what I eat and don't eat. In fact a lot of times at night I won't eat a "snack." I will just drink some milk and go to bed kind of early. She wanted me to cut out a few carbs, so that helps. Her nurse called the other day to check my levels and she is happy with them and wants me to continue doing what I'm doing.

I probably won't be posting a lot in the next couple of weeks. I'm trying to stay off the computer while the boys are up to do more stuff with them before the baby comes and with Christmas in just a few days I will be busy with wrapping presents when they aren't looking, and just enjoying time with family. And then the baby could come any time before the first to the year but who knows. Just God and her I guess!

I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a wonderful time with family and friends! Remember what Christmas is all about. Presents are great, but the birth of Jesus is what we should be celebrating. God bless you all!

This week

I had another doctor appointment this Wednesday. I had another ultrasound and another NST! My mom came to our house and kept the boys for me. She is such a great grandmother! They made cookies while I was gone and Noah drew the cutest horse! You can really tell what it is! I enjoyed my "free time" waiting at the doctor for almost 3 hours! My doctor got behind when she had to go deliver a baby. I was on the NST machine for a long time. The button that you are supposed to push when the baby moves was broken so I just took the time to nap a little bit! When I saw the doctor she wanted me to increase my insulin to take it another time in the morning. I don't know why my sugar was high, I am following the diet like I'm suppose too! Although the dietitian told me the fasting sugars being high was because of hormones, so maybe that's it.

In other news I have a new niece. Andrew's brother and his wife had their baby girl yesterday. Her water broke around 1am the night before and she was born a little after 3pm yesterday.

We are having our town tree lighting tonight. Andrew has to work late and I can't decide if I want to go and take the boys by myself! I would only have to walk a little ways up the street if I decide to take them! Then tomorrow the annual Christmas parade goes by the entrance to our neighborhood and Andrew is off tomorrow so we will take them to see Santa and get some candy. Last year they got a lot, well Noah did. Jonah was too young to eat any!

Someone pinch me!

I was so excited to check my email and find that I not only won a printer from 5 minutes for Mom's Christmas Giveaway, I also won a photo blanket from Reviewsings of a Housewife! I was so excited! I never win anything and to win twice in one day was indeed a blessing! Thank you Jennifer and Jo-Lynne!

I really needed a new printer, mine had quit on me! My mom had given me her old one and I hooked it up yesterday but we need a new color cartridge. We needed a new one for my old one too, but just hadn't taken the time or money to buy another one! Usually the HP comes with cartridges so we will be set! I am so excited to get this in time to print out some Christmas cards!

The photo blanket will a great Christmas gift for someone. I'm not sure yet who will get it, we will see. It may just be mine!

Thanks again girls! These are much appreciated "gifts" and I am so grateful to receive them!
